In some cases, LOOP may require you to submit photos of your vehicle before we add coverage. If you are creating a new car insurance policy and you choose to add comprehensive and collision coverage, you may receive an email from LOOP with further instructions to submit a few photos of your vehicle.
The reason for this is because it allows you to create a record of the condition of your vehicle at the time you purchased the policy. In the event of a comprehensive or collision claim, your adjuster would be able to refer to these photos to confirm that the damage occurred after your policy's effective date. This means a faster claim review process and therefore a faster resolution.
The photos that we would need would be:
- The front of the vehicle
- The back of the vehicle
- The driver's side of the vehicle
- The passenger side of the vehicle
- A photo of the VIN
- In cases where your vehicle is a cargo van, a photo of the cargo area
If you have just started a new LOOP policy with comprehensive or collision coverage on your vehicle, please keep an eye on your email inbox for the subject line "We need a few more things" which will have further instructions for how to submit these photos to LOOP.
