FIRST THINGS FIRST
Once you file your claim and it has been assigned to an adjuster, you should receive a text message with your adjuster's contact information.
Our claims partners at The Davies Group are available Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm CST
If you have not already, please collect any documentation related to your claim. The sooner your adjuster has all the relevant information the faster they can complete the review of your claim. The basic information that you should have ready for your adjuster may include:
- Names of everyone involved in the accident and their insurance information
- Your insurance policy number LOO-TX-0000001234-00
- Insurance information for anyone else involved in the accident
- Details of the accident (location, time of day, and weather conditions)
- A copy of the police report if an officer was called to the scene
- Estimated repair costs
- Photos of the damage
Keep in mind that every claim is different and there is no standard timeframe for a full resolution, but being in contact with your adjuster and providing any needed information they may require can help get to a final resolution of your claim.
HOW CAN I SPEED THINGS UP?
We completely understand how important a speedy resolution is when it comes to a car insurance claim.
In addition to gathering all of the documentation and information mentioned above, the best thing you can do is to stay in communication with your adjuster. Should you miss their call, that’s okay! Just give them a call back and leave a detailed message with the best time of day to reach you.
If your adjuster requests any additional information from you, know that this is all in the interest of getting your claim resolved quickly. Your adjuster wants to make this process as fast and easy for you just as much as you do.
Keep in mind that a claims adjuster will need to do their due diligence when investigating your claim. This means they will be reviewing documentation and photos as well as contacting all persons involved in an accident plus any additional witnesses who may have been present.
The best thing you can do to help move things along is to be cooperative and communicative with your adjuster throughout the process.
